RE: BillMax questions -- Slow Account Load Issues/Removing Closed Services
Chris/Ted thanks for the info, probably need to do both (prune closed services and upgrade hardware).
Question, to permanently remove a closed service from an account what is the recommended method?
Thanks,

You can try playing with the mysql settings, (ie: my.conf I think) there's
websites that are devoted to tuning mysql for best performance.
But, in the last analysis, nothing speeds up a database like big
expensive fast disks, lots of memory, and a fast CPU
We are running a dual 500Mhz Xeon with 500MB of ram right now and a raid
array. But,
we do not take call accounting records so our datacall table is empty.
We previously had a 200Mhz uniprocessor Pentium Pro with 256Mb of
ram.
When I moved the billmax server, reports that took an hour took a
few minutes to run.
