BillMax questions -- bmui problems... upgrade from 1.5.4 to 2.0

Since we've recently upgrade from Billmax version 1.5.4 to 2.0, bmui is
no longer working. I modified the new 2.0 cgi and config files to
reflect our settings as well as moved all the new templates, but it
bails with:

3000 208.60.90.20+Sat Dec 28 16:17:54 2002+27399+3.0+2.0.4 :
Configuration error: cc processing requires BillMax user (parameter
accountwrite) with at least "accounting write" and "basic read"
priviledges :::_set_remote_user(): 5862 bmui.c login() 2070

Connectivity with the bmui server was verified by telnet to it on port
5023, no problem. It appears to be a log on issue. Client name and pass
were have been double check on both server/client configs and are the
same. One question, does the bmui user have to be defined as a user in
the permissions table in Billmax and given accounting/basic read/write?
Previously, in 1.5.4, we did not, and have tried adding it in 2.0, but
theres no different, same error.

I'd appreciate any suggestions
