BillMax questions -- wanted - BillMax hosting services
My client is using BillMax -- not as an ISP but as an ASP for tracking
their billing. They're looking to expand, and so far had intended to
co-locate a Linux box for running the billing.
I've suggested that they move away from maintaining servers and try to
contract out hosting services as much as possible. However, the typical
packaged deals out there for Linux virtual servers don't like the notion
of having a bundled installation of BillMax/Apache/MySQL/etc., so we've
hit lots of resistance.
Since my client is an ASP and has slightly different business
considerations than an ISP, we've had to add a couple of tables to the
database, change one of the Perl scripts, and modify the Apache config.
Otherwise, they're using a standard BillMax installation. This would be
only for the back-end, administrative portion of BillMax, not for
BMUI/customer interface. Also, the hosting service would need to
provide an ssh tunnel to open secure access to the BillMax database for
the site where our customer interface is located, where PHP/MySQL
handles transactions. I can help set that up, if needed.
Can anyone here suggest good Linux hosting services that provide BillMax
for their clients or would be familiar enough to allow us to install
it? I seem to recall mention of iSpark doing BillMax hosting for
clients, but couldn't find a link anywhere for that kind of service.
Thank you for your help.
